The International Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association (GRCA) was formed nearly 45 years ago in 1975, and it has an international membership coming from well over 20 countries. The International Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association has a long tradition of serving the GRC industry world wide.

The GRCA brings together all those with an interest in Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC or GFRC), to:

  • Exchange knowledge and experience concerning GRC.
  • Promote GRC in all its valid applications and advance the interests of its Members.
  • Participate in establishing Codes of Practice and National Standards covering manufacture and performance.
  • Organise International GRCA Congresses as a forum for discussing and disseminating GRC knowledge on materials, products and uses.

The GRCA has recently sponsored a state of the art review of GRC for all users and specifiers, with an extensive selection of case studies, and vital information about microstructure and mechanisms. The GRCA book on GRC was published in July 2017 and is available direct from the Association.

Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete or GRC, also known as Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete or GFRC (see What is GRC) and known around the world by various names such as Fiber Beton, Cam Elyaf or Fiber Takviyeli Beton, Composite Ciment Verre or CCV, Hormigón Reforzado con Fibra de Vidrio or HRFV, and Glasfaserbeton or GFB, is one of the most versatile building materials available to architects and engineers. Composed principally of cement, sand and special alkali resistant (AR) glass fibres, GRC is a thin, high strength concrete with many applications in construction.
